History
Kathryn A. Ross, MD, FACG graduated Summa Cum Laude from Barry University, Miami, Florida and then with honors from the University of Miami Medical School. Her internship in Critical Care Medicine and her Internal Medicine residency were both done at University of California Davis. She then completed fellowships in Gastroenterology/Hepatology and Clinical Nutrition, also at UC Davis. Dr. Ross worked as an emergency physician and as an associate professor at UC Davis for several years. She practiced Gastroenterology and served as Director of Endoscopy at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento before moving to Newport Beach to open her own private practice in 1987. She has been on staff at Hoag Presbyterian Hospital since that time and served as Hoag's Chairman of Gastroenterology division from 1995-1997.
