Kate was one of the first to be certified, at the highest level (CMT), by the California Massage Therapy Counsel. Exceeding the minimum 500 hour requirement by having a base education of 738 hours, Kate obtained her initial certification on 10/07/2009 as a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT). She maintains her certification in good standing by complying with all rules and regulations of the CMTC. Kate has California Massage Therapy Counsel Certificate #426. Kate maintains active licensure with the Washington State Department of Health as a Licensed Massage Practitioner (LMP). She initially licensed on 12/09/2002 and she complies with all regulations and requirements for continuing education to remain in compliance for regular license renewals. Her Washington State License Credential number is MA 00017443. Kate maintains professional status with both the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) organizations.

Clients experience immediate results for everything from reducing stress and anxiety to speeding their recovery from injuries or managing chronic pain syndromes. I specialize in locating the source of your pain or discomforts. I apply a deep sensitivity to your body in order to maximize the results of your massage so you can enjoy total relaxation and/or achieve freedom from pain and restriction. Each massage is designed with you, specifically for you. I enjoy understanding your needs and applying my skills to provide you with a massage that leaves you both relaxed and pain free. Some of the flowing massage techniques I may integrate into your massage are taken from Swedish, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and positional release. For your specific tension areas I draw from deep tissue techniques which include Trigger Point, Sports and Myofascial therapies.
