Karl F. Clemens Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 650 students. It offers courses in English, mathematics, social science, physical education and fine arts. Its psychologists and special education teachers develop individual education plans for children with disabilities. The school also employs language specialists, occupational therapists and counselors. Located in Wasco, Calif., the school s campus occupies an area of more than 10 acres that includes a cafeteria, library, computer laboratory, clinic and administrative office. Its computer laboratory has over 20 workstations. Karl F. Clemens Elementary School is governed by the Wasco Union School District, which educates more than 3,000 students from prekindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 1904, the district operates nearly five elementary and middle schools.
