Dr. Jonathan Barthelet is a primary care and extensivist physician who practices in Santa Monica. As a member of the UCLA Extensivist Program, a medical home that cares for high-risk, complex patients who are more likely to be hospitalized, he is particularly interested in clinical informatics and high-value, low-cost care. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Barthelet received his medical degree from the Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York. He then completed his internal medicine residency at UCLA, where he participated in the resident informatics group for two years. He earlier received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Santa Barbara. Dr. Barthelet is a native French speaker who was raised in the Bay Area and lived in San Francisco for 10 years. He is a new father, and when he’s not working, enjoys spending time with his family, including two dogs, running, woodworking, and taking things apart to see how they work.
