History
We are a non-profit organization, that started with 1 aircraft and are now up to 22 in static display. While several are owned by the City of Palmdale and bought with Donation Funds, most are here on display from the United States Air Force National Museum, the Navy's National Aviation Museum and NASA. We rebuild and repaint them to keep them in top shape.
Specialties
The Mission of the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark is to provide a family friendly, uniquely Palmdale destination; centered around the static display of aircraft that portray the rich aerospace heritage of Palmdale, and represents the historical significance of United States Air Force's Plant 42 to the Antelope Valley and to the United States of America, and to do so in a way that generates pride among our residents and prestige among our peers. We currently have 22 Static display Aircraft that range from WWII to the present time as well as several NASA's space program artifacts, which includes the SCA-747 N911N. We provide Guided Tours (by arrangement) for school groups, organizations and individuals, which offer an educational and historic insight to each aircraft for they all have a story. We also hose private get together, like company picnics or during normal weekend hours of operation, families can picnic under the aircraft or barbeque at the Pavilion. We also incourage volunteering if you are into aircraft like we are. Our restoration team is there on Wednesday and Thursday, and Adopt-a-Plane meets every 2nd Saturday at 7am February-October.
