History
I started my private practice in Boulder, Colorado in 2006, after completing my fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. I have recently relocated to Mill Valley, and therefore I am accepting new patients at this time.
Specialties
I frequently provide psychotherapy, with or without medications. For some patients, I provide only medication management. I am also available for psychiatric consultations. I am a physician board-certified in psychiatry. I received my medical degree from UCSF, and completed psychiatric training at Stanford University. I then completed a fellowship in the sub-specialty of child and adolescent psychiatry. I also hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, studied for four years at the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis, and have taught in several medical schools and graduate programs. My approach as a medical doctor is informed by my experiences at the San Francisco Zen Hospice Project, my involvement as a yoga teacher to children and adults, and my decade of work as a massage therapist, training under Marion Rosen. Prior to studying psychiatry, I worked with homeless people in San Francisco, and used my research to help change policies of the San Francisco Health Department.
