History
Massage was always part of my life because my mom was a massage therapist. Although I loved massage, I wanted to work with children so I studied child development and became a preschool teacher. When my husband and I decided to have children it made sense for me to follow my mother's path so that I could have a flexible schedule and be home for my children. I received my massage training at the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing (IPSB) in Culver City. Since I had always been drawn to pregnant women and babies, the first elective course I took was Prenatal Massage and I was instantly hooked. In 2003 I was helping to teach the same prenatal class when I met a doula and knew that I wanted to add that to my practice. Being a doula was a perfect compliment to my massage work and I had the honor of attending 40 births. I am currently taking a break from being a doula as my family needs have changed.
