iPalpiti (Italian for "heartbeats") Artists International is a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing the careers of young, professional and talented classical musicians. Eduard Schmieder, music director and conductor of iPalpiti Orchestral Ensemble of International Laureates, founded the organization. It was originally named Young Artists International, and it changed its name to iPalpiti in 2008 to match the name of the orchestra. All members of the orchestra are considered soloists and have performed in many prestigious locations throughout the world. Programs provided by iPalpiti Artists International include a career transition program, an educational fund, an instrument fund, the Benefactors Concert Series, the Leo Frankel Memorial Award Fund and the Annual iPalpiti Festival of International Laureates here in Los Angeles. The organization has presented many awards and scholarships to musicians, performed hundreds of private and public concerts, released CDs of iPalpiti Orchestra and created the Mentor Program and Student Coalition for the Arts for seventh through 12th grade students. Many prominent international classical musicians act as advisors to the organization.
