HistoryThe Arc of San Francisco was founded in 1951 by a small group of parents who were concerned about the lack of services for their children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy & other developmental disabilities. Since then, we've become a primary resource for people with disabilities in San Francisco and San Mateo counties, serving over 500 clients every day.
