History
The Home of Peace has been serving in Oakland for over 125 years. Our services today include lodging, housing, meeting and office space. Historically, guests came to the home to receive prayer for faith to be healed from their illnesses. Over the years the home served as a school of missions for girls and later as a way station for missionaries coming and going from the mission field. Our founder's philosophy of ministry was simple, feed the need. Wherever there was a need in the world, our founders did everything they could to satisfy that need and to put someone in charge of that ministry so it could grow and continue on without them. Today we operate by that same philosophy and serve as a quiet lodging place and a group conference center.
