The Orthodox cross on its steeple makes the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Moraga easy to spot. Located on quiet School Street alongside other local schools and churches, Holy Trinity is open to Orthodox Christians and those seeking the Orthodox faith. Passersby who take note of the church's distinctive cross and stained glass windows can often be found standing and pointing at the church's distinctive symbology on its walls and windows.
Holy Trinity holds a Divine Liturgy every Sunday at 10:30 am, and services are conducted in a blend of English, Old Church Slavonic and Serbian. Those people within earshot of the church can hear the church choir singing a capella responses to the works of Old World composers.
The church was formed in 1965 by faithful Serbian Orthodox families from Oakland, San Francisco, and surrounding communities. The current site and church building were purchased in early 1988. V. Rev. Vasilije Cvijanovic currently serves as the Priest and spiritual leader of Holy Trinity.
