History
Hawthorne Arts Complex (HAC) is the South Bay's largest community of artists working under one roof. The 44,000 square foot space has been outfitted with over 100 studios in addition to a gallery and lounge, kiln room, spray room, outdoor workstation and more. Abundant natural light fills the open, flowing space through skylights and windows, carrying throughout the halls where tenants often display their work. Each studio (many brand new), features polished concrete floors, dimmable daylight color temperature overhead LED lighting and 10 foot walls. Creatives from a variety of disciplines have made HAC their home away from home. Centrally located in Los Angeles's tight-knit South Bay community, it's less than 10 miles away from the beach cities of Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo and a short drive from nearby Venice and Culver City. Studios are conveniently accessible 24/7 with plenty of secure parking onsite, providing artists the freedom to create at any time, day or night.
