Wael Abdelgawad has been practicing martial arts for 35 years, and teaching Hapkido since 2007. He founded Hammerhead Hapkido in 2014. Hammerhead Hapkido is a unique and powerful blend of Korean, Indonesian and Filipino martial arts. It offers realistic and effective tools including punch and kick defenses, elbow and knee strikes, grab defenses, sweeps, throws and ground fighting. It is an excellent style for fitness and self-defense.
Specialties
Martial Arts: Hapkido, Kali, Silat, Jujitsu, Karate. I currently teach two arts: Monday night - Hammerhead Hapkido, which is a unique and highly effective blend of Hapkido and Silat. Wednesday afternoon - Kali (Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, to be exact). This is a Filipino blade and stick fighting art, with an emphasis on short sword and knife.
