The Half Moon Bay Airport is a public airport owned by the County of San Mateo. Built by the US Army in 1942, this historic airport provides hangars to rent, airplane fuel, a delicious cafe as well as a number of emergency and emergency training services. It also hosts the annual event Dream Machines, an exposition of hundreds of unusual cars and planes. The airport office is located inside the cafe off of Highway 1.
