Graeagle Map
Graeagle is a census-designated place (CDP) in Plumas County, California, United States. The population was 737 at the 2010 census, down from 831 at the 2000 census.
Originally brought to life by the pioneers of the timber industry, the town of Graeagle was the site of the Graeagle Lumber Company and its “Box Factory” owned by the California Fruit Exchange. Thousands were employed to build boxes for shipping fruit and vegetables in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Modernization closed the mill in 1956 and the town was acquired by the West family in 1958
Graeagle is located roughly one hour from Reno via Highway 395 and State Route 70, or one hour from Truckee-North Lake Tahoe via Highway 89. Graeagle is located at 39°45?52?N 120°37?24?W / 39.76444°N 120.62333°W / 39.76444; -120.62333 (39.764319, -120.623262).
