The Gestalt Institute of San Francisco offers training and workshops in Gestalt therapy, a form of psychotherapy that emphasizes personal responsibility, the individual's experience in the present moment and the self-regulating adjustments people make as a result of their overall situation. The institute hosts regular workshops and training seminars.
Founder and Director Morgan Goodlander was first introduced to Gestalt in the late 1970s through a chance meeting with a disciple of Fritz Perls, one of its co-creators. Goodlander went on to train at the Gestalt Institute of New Orleans before starting his own practice.
