Imperial Beach United Methodist Church, led by Reverend Phyllis Ashe, holds Sunday services each week with Sunday school, child care, and outreach to the homeless. Breakfast and prayer group meetings are held every Wednesday at 7 a.m. at The Wave Cafe. Loaves and Fishes feed the homeless or those in need every Saturday from 6-10 a.m. Showers are also available. Another church program passes out commodity food items to those in need Tuesday and Thursday each week from 9-11 a.m. Each family may receive those services once every three months.
