Garfield High School is an alternative high school that provides educational classes for students in grades 9 through 12. Established in 1921, the school offers classes in English, social science, history, mathematics, physical science, business and technology, languages and art, and physical and special education. The school has an associated student body that provides support and assistance to students. It operates a CalSafe and pregnant minor program that provides educational and support services to underprivileged pregnant students. The school also offers individual and group counseling to teenagers, including domestic violence, teen parenthood, gang prevention, and grief and loss. Garfield High School is operated by the San Diego Unified School District and is located in San Diego.
