Futures Explored, formerly known as The Enterprise, was founded in 1964 in Lafayette, California, with a mission to create inclusive futures for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over the past 58 years, they have served over 9,000 adults across five counties in Northern California through programs in community connections, employment, education, film and media, and personal wellness.
The organization offers a range of services, including a popular film camp for youth, job opportunities to support individuals with disabilities, and partnerships with nonprofits like Kids Bike Lane and the Lafayette Juniors to empower under-served communities. Through advocacy, volunteerism, and impactful programs, Futures Explored continues to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
