HistoryI started the business after putting in 27 years in the aero-space industry doing software systems design work for our government and many foreign governments. About 22 years ago we also started Cal Fence Deck & Rail as a second company that specialized in finding and offering the latest is new products and materials. In the past few years I underwent cancer surgery and it resulted in a temporary shut down of the business. We are now back up and running but at a slower pace.SpecialtiesHistorically it was decks and fences but now we are trying to do bigger jobs where I can use subcontractors for the specialty work. The company no longer keeps a full crew, so I prefer jobs like room additions, kitchen and baths remodels. This way I can find and manage the talent and not have to worry about keeping the fellows employed.
