Center For Elders' Independence
HistoryGuardian was founded in 1994 by Peter and Marie Behr to promote the well-being of elders and disabled individuals who live in Western Contra Costa County, alone or with others, in order to maintain them at, or restore them to, their optimal functioning potential and to allow them to remaining in the community. The Center shares with families and others the responsibility of providing substantial care to these individuals by offering respite care from two to five days a week. In addition, family members concerned with a parent or relative who shares their home can still maintain their own employment.SpecialtiesOwned by Center for Elders' Independence, Guardian Adult Day Center welcomes adults who need day health services such as physical therapy, social engagement and nursing care. Guardian serves seniors and disabled adults who live in West Contra Costa County in cities such as Richmond, Hercules, Pinole and El Cerrito. Guardian has been serving seniors since 1994.
