Dedicated to former Union City Police Chief William Cann, William Cann Civic Center Park is an ideal place for local residents to enjoy beautiful scenery and the outdoors. The park has a large lagoon, which serves as a temporary home to many birds as they migrate south. An exercise path runs along the lagoon and leads to two small bridges that cross the water. There are play areas for the kids, and the landscaping is well maintained, which makes the park a great spot for a picnic. For larger groups, you can book the Egret or the Heron picnic site for a small fee. Each has a barbecue grill and seats 10 to 25 people. The park is located near City Hall, the Union City Police Department, the library and Skate Park.
