The church, which started with outdoor services on the bank of the Pajaro River, draws a mix of retirees and young families. The congregation has a colorful history and active, involved membership. The church holds youth programs, such as Tae Kwon Do classes for middle school-age girls, and hosts the area's Neighborhood Watch meetings as well as several Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Rev. Robin Mathews-Johnson is the church's second female pastor.
