History
Farming Hope is a non-profit restaurant that offers employment and training in the food industry to folks that face barriers to employment - most commonly a record of homelessness and incarceration. We were born out of the Stanford FEED Design School Incubator in 2016 and have been working to build radically inclusive communities in the San Francisco Bay Area since. We believe we are a bridge out of homelessness. We create opportunities for our program participants to realize their value, and work towards sustainable employment. Growing and serving food lets our folks feel valued and empowered to share their gifts.
Specialties
We are a nonprofit social enterprise restaurant serving a plant-forward Middle Eastern-inspired menu with pitas, bowls, weekend brunch, coffee, tea. We also serve beer & wine.
