History
In April of 1958, the original El Trocadero was opened in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico by Raul E. & Olga E. Bojorquez. And now more than 50 years later, it still stands. However, in 1998 the son of Raul & Olga, Raul E. Bojorquez and his wife, Dora Luz Bojorquez opened a new restaurant in the heart of Downtown Newhall in the Santa Clarita Valley. Raul and Dora, with the help of their two daughters, four grandchildren still run the mom-and-pop restaurant to this day.
Specialties
El Trocadero Mesquite Grill & Cantina specializes in traditional Mexican entrees, steaks and seafood. Some of the Mexican dishes that we serve are classical favorites: enchiladas, tamales, taquitos, tacos... with our own Sonoran flavor. Speaking of Sonoran, the northernmost region in Mexico is often known for their mouth-watering cuts of steak. Rib-eye, skirt steak, carne asada - we serve it all here. El Trocadero also serves seafood in 4 different styles: grilled, butter and garlic, breaded, a la diabla... Accompany your delicious food with a cocktail from our full bar. Everything is homemade and everything we serve is fresh! We hope to see you here.
