The Friends of the South Pasadena Library is a group that's dedicated to serving the needs of library patrons and the surrounding community. Annual membership is tax-deductible and can be purchased online, by mail or at the South Pasadena library. Members receive the quarterly newspaper Between Friends, are invited to special programs and participate in the annual Friends of the South Pasadena Library meeting in January. Jane Schirmeister is the president of the board of directors. The Friends of the South Pasadena Library organizes the Restoration Concert Series, which features a lineup of eight concerts every season. The group also runs the library's used bookstore, located on the second floor of the library. Used-book donations are welcome.
