History
Downtown Alameda's Spring Festival (formerly Park Street Spring Festival) has been a favorite for over 15 years. The event is hosted by the Downtown Alameda Business Association and takes place each year during the second weekend of May (Mother's Day weekend). Located in the East Bay, near Oakland and only 20 minutes from San Francisco, Downtown Alameda's Park Street Business District is the island city's vibrant historic commercial, cultural, and civic center. More than 400 businesses are located in the shopping district and include a variety of restaurants, gift stores, clothing stores, professional services, and amusement centers including the historic Alameda Theatre & Cineplex.

2020 Dates: May 9 & 10 -- Downtown Alameda's Spring Festival is a Mother's Day weekend tradition in Alameda and the San Francisco Bay Area. With over 150 vendors, this is a perfect place to find a gift for Mom. Or maybe you would like to treat Mom to a mimosa and lunch at one of the street's food establishments. Located on Park Street between Encinal Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, weekend activities include art & craft vendors, live music, kids' area, food vendors, and beer & wine sales. There is sure to be something for everyone. Festival-goers can also stroll along Alameda's vibrant and historic commercial district where shops and restaurants will be offering weekend specials. A special area for kids and their families on Alameda Avenue features bounce houses, giant slide, slot cars, face painting, and WaterBallerz. Each day offers continuous live entertainment with popular Bay Area bands performing classic rock, bluegrass, funk, jazz, and soul.
