The Dorris-Eaton School is a private, co-educational college preparatory day school, serving pre-school through eighth grade students. (The school's preschool/junior kindergarten campus is located in Alamo).
The Dorris-Eaton School was founded more than50 years ago by Doris Dorris and Virginia Eaton. Along with spacious classrooms, the Walnut Creek campus houses an 11,000-volume library, two multi-purpose rooms, a technology lab, designated Spanish, art, and music rooms.
Aside from academic courses, the school also offers art, music, physical education, Spanish and computer applications classes. Uniforms are required for grades K-8.
The enrollment process begins in the fall and winter prior to the school year in which the student will attend. Students are also accepted throughout the year on a space-available basis, as mid-year vacancies do occur. For a list of student and faculty achievements, visit the school's Web site. The head of the school is Gerald Ludden.
