The convent of the Dominican Sisters sits on the campus of Dominican University of California, which the sisters founded in 1890. Though the university and convent remain separate now, the convent building sits at the heart of the school.
The convent was built with room for 22 sisters, or nuns, to live and preach the path of St. Dominic. The focus of the sisters of San Rafael is on study and service. The sisters also take a vow of poverty and chastity.
The public is welcome to attend mass.
