Established in 1866, Dixon United Methodist Church is Dixon's oldest church. The church is not far from downtown Dixon and hosts a congregation of about 300 individuals.
Dixon United Methodist is a traditional church with a large altar and rows of wooden pews. The church features a recreational hall and several office rooms, one of which is used for childcare.
The church also has a missionary component that travels to places such as Haiti and other areas that are in need. Thursday nights at Dixon United Methodist is set aside for its youth ministry program. The church also features several fellowships, including Grace Circle, Jubilee Circle (women's fellowship) and a men's group. Dixon Methodist also has a music ministry that gives its members the opportunity to perform choral and instrumental compositions.
