Deposition Sciences specializes in the development, manufacture and product applications of optical thin film coatings. The company features MicroDyn reactive sputtering, IsoDyn low pressure and plasma chemical vapor depositions and evaporation processes. MicroDyn deposits metal oxides, nitrides and mixed materials with fixed or graded compositions, rugates, metals and semiconductor materials. The IsoDyn LPCVD process coats optical glasses, crystalline materials, ceramics and metals. IsoDyn PCVD uses a high-intensity microwave source to drive the plasma that provides deposition. Evaporation is used for military and aerospace products that require specialized materials. Deposition Sciences provides telecommunications and data products, such as coated fibers and ball lenses, thin film filters and fiber assemblies. It also features infrared and ultraviolet management solutions, reflectors and color filters. The company s products are applied to the telecommunications, data storage, lighting, aerospace, defense and industrial markets. Deposition Sciences was founded in 1985 and is based in Santa Rosa, Calif.
