Located off the 2 freeway, Delevan Drive Elementary School is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. It accommodates children in kindergarten through sixth grade from diverse ethnic groups, with more than 25 percent of Philippine ancestry. Delevan is among 264 schools across the country that won the 2009 National Blue Ribbon School Award given by the U.S. Department of Education in recognition of a school's high academic achievements. Only six L.A. Unified School District schools have ever won this prestigious award.
