Founded in 1999, Downtown College Preparatory is a charter school that addresses the academic needs of underachieving students in grades 9 through 12. It offers education to more than 400 students. Downtown College Preparatory s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, history, science, Spanish, fine arts and physical education. Additionally, it provides a range of athletic activities, including soccer, basketball and volleyball tournaments. Downtown College Preparatory offers various extracurricular activities, including lacrosse, college trips, internships and community service programs.
