Dana Point Shipyard has a long history in Southern California, dating back to 1966 when two friends founded a boat repair shop off the Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach. The company existed in one form or another, in one location or another, until finding its way to this sizeable shipyard in Dana Point in 1977. Today the team operates the 1,000 square foot shop and has an emormous amount of combined experience and know-how. Its 30-ton crane takes care of boats large and small, in conjunction with its 40-ton dry dock. It offers everything from haul-outs, structural repair to motor and electrical repair. It also offers do-it-yourself facilities seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
