Tampico's Kitchen & Lounge has two eating areas to choose from: the main room, where booths and tables await beneath colorful murals of Mexico and soft lighting, or the bar, where you'll find more booths and tables. More murals decorate the bar area, and wood paneling lends a warm feel to this room. You may decide to try the signature drink, the Molly, served in a mason jar. There's a lively late night scene here, with the bar full of students and locals mingling with one other and the staff, who are an extended family of cooks, waiters and managers. Open since 1955, Tampico's has become a tradition for graduates, tourists and locals. Lively Mariachi bands play on Sunday nights.
