Crespi Carmelite High School, established in 1959, and is a nonprofit, Catholic, four-year, college preparatory school for young men that is owned and operated by the Carmelite Religious Order. The school is located in Encino, Calif., and offers classes to more than 500 students in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes English, reading and writing, mathematics, theology, social studies, science, computer technology, physical education, and visual and performing arts. The high school provides educational programs and activities to students with special needs. Its media center offers a large collection of books, religious magazines, news journals and audiovisual aides to students. The school s sports activities include baseball, basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, swimming, tennis, golf, lacrosse, cross-country, water polo, and track and field. It has a student council that assists in various school activities, including cultural, health care and field trips. The school provides after school tutorials, meals and transportation services to students.
