Corpus Christi Parish was established in Pacific Palisades in 1950 by Cardinal James Francis McIntyre. This Catholic church has daily morning and evening mass, with extra services on Sundays and holy days. Sacraments such as baptism, marriage and confession are performed here by arrangement. More than 2,000 local families actively participate in the church. The parish is also home to Corpus Cristi Catholic elementary school for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Monsignor Liam Kidney, Corpus Cristi's pastor since 1999, celebrated his 40th anniversary in the priesthood in 2008.
