The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department Administrative Services Bureau consists of five units:
- Employee Development – Background investigations, correctional training, recruiting.
- Inspection and Control – Responsible for performing regular departmental audits, both financial and operational, to ensure efficient operations.
- Personnel and Finance – Prepares annual budget, oversees all employee personnel matters, contract management, etc.
- Planning and Research – Assists the administration in planning and executing all special assignments and projects.
- Professional Standards – Responsible for internal affairs, development of policies and procedures, etc.
