Concordia Elementary School, for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, was named a 2010 California Distinguished School by the State Department of Education. Concordia has an innovative new program called Project Splash, a hands-on discovery center built around a large whale fossil. The school also touts its Destination ImagiNation program, an after-school activity in which students work in teams to solve mind-bending challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. The school also has an active PTA and student council.
