The Community Services Department provides maintenance for the city's open park space, medians and Civic Center complex, as well as its urban forest, which has an inventory of about 25,000 street and park trees. The department also organizes recreational programs for Beverly Hills residents of all ages.
Steve Zoet oversees the department in his role as director of community services. The assistant director of community services is Nancy Hunt-Coffey, who oversees the city library.
