The California Medical Association Alliance is a nonprofit, volunteer organization of approximately 2,000 members. It is a federation made up of 36 county organizations within California and part of the 50,000-member American Medical Association Alliance. The California Medical Association Alliance is an organization of physicians' spouses dedicated to the health of California through education, community service programs and legislation. County Alliances provide leadership and resources for community health education and services in their respective communities. Cooperative efforts with other organizations and agencies promote community health seminars and educational programs within the schools, including theatrical groups and puppet shows that demonstrate healthy choices for the children and youth of today. Food and clothing drives for shelters and homeless programs are supported, as are other health related programs. Alliance funding programs offer informational materials on a variety of societal health problems. CMA Alliance is located in Encino, Calif.
