The sports accommodated here are soccer, softball and swimming. Anyone can drop by and kick a soccer ball around in the ball diamond outfield--when softball games aren't in progress. These officially sanctioned games occur during the summer. That's when family and friends fire up the barbecue grills, have tailgate parties in the City Hall parking lot and/or cheer on their loved ones from the tree-shaded bleachers behind home plate.
Attached to the rear of Davis's City Hall (formerly Davis High School), the Olympic-sized pool is available only for city-sponsored swimming organizations--public swimming is not allowed.
King High and the Senior Center anchor the northern reaches of the ball fields.
