The City Clerk's Office is located on the second floor of City Hall. The office maintains the official minutes of all proceedings, records, ordinances, resolutions, contracts and other official city documents and public records. It also plans, supervises and conducts all municipal elections.
The current city clerk is Byron Pope, who was appointed by the City Council in 2005. The city clerk ensures that the council operates in compliance with federal, state and local statutes and regulations, and that all council actions are properly executed, recorded and archived. Patty Ogden serves as the assistant city clerk.
