Founded in 1953, The Children's Health Council offers a variety of services to children facing developmental, behavioral, emotional and learning challenges. The center provides assessment and treatment services in various disciplines, such as psychiatry, psychology and neuropsychology and behavior management to children and youth up to 18 years. Its rehabilitation unit offers family, speech and language, occupational and art therapies. The center also provides treatment for anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity. Its clinical services include individual and family psychotherapy, medication management and educational therapy. The center s social techniques comprise role playing, modeling, games and expressive art projects. The Children's Health Council also offers financial assistances to families. It has a therapeutic day school for elementary, middle and high schools students with learning disabilities. The center is located in Palo Alto, Calif.
