Ron Teeguarden has traveled throughout Asia and studied with master herbalists to create his collection of herbal supplements and super foods. He originally opened an elixir bar at Charmer's Market in Santa Monica, became chief herbalist at Tea Garden Herbal Emporium in Venice Beach and finally opened his own store here in 1996. The store is filled with herbal tonics, elixirs, essential oils, blossom teas, loose-leaf teas, tonic teas, herb extracts, super foods, tea accessories, supplements and other unique food products. The Asian-inspired decor of the shop features Buddhist and Hindu statues and imagery. One wall in the back is filled with photos chronicling Teeguarden's travels with his wife and partner Yanlin, in Asia, collecting products. Remedies are offered here to boost immunity, slow aging, relieve stress, increase metabolic health, enhance physical conditioning, sharpen brain power, protect respiratory health and cleanse the throat and sinuses.
