Checkmat Headquarters by Leo Vieira was founded in 2014. It is home base for Leo Vieira and is officially Leo's first jiu-jitsu academy in the USA. Checkmat was founded in 2008 by the Vieira Brothers (Leo, Ricardo an Leandro). Today, Checkmat is one of the largest and most successful schools of jiu-jitsu in the world. Over 200 Black Belts in different Graduation Rankings are members of 150 Checkmat schools around the world, which include: USA, Brazil, UK, Sweden, Greece, Turkey, Denmark, France, Finland, Malaysia, Canada, Spain, Paraguay, Germany, Belgium, Japan, Singapore, Reunion Island and Australia.

Leo and other high-level Checkmat instructors teach adult and children classes.
