Camrosa Water District is an independent special district providing three classes of water, including potable, nonpotable and reclaimed water. The company, formed in 1962, also provides sanitary services. The district is one of the largest in Ventura County, Calif., in number of connections and population served. A five-member board of directors governs the district and its 20-member staff maintains more than 10,000 water and 7,500 sanitary service connections in a service area spread over 31-square-miles. The district facilities are monitored and operated with a state-of-the-art radio telemetry system. The water production and distribution systems, as well as the water reclamation facility can be operated remotely from anywhere in the world.
