Pete served his apprenticeship in England for a worldwide company manufacturing, selling and servicing machinery for the tannery and other industries. He traveled extensively gaining valuable experience that helped achieve and develop a "can do" attitude. An attitude that permeates the fabrication and machining company he founded in 1995 known then as Bulldog Machine and Engineering. Through the years Bulldog Machine has been built upon that foundation of broad experience and a solid "can do" attitude and fortified it with a strong group of partners that evoke the "we can do it and do it well" promise. Now known as Bulldog Machine Inc our capabilities have changed and grown but that same attitude still exists. Ron Kavulich brings a lifetime of experience to Bulldog Machine Inc Born and raised on the east coast he started working with his father at the age of 15 sharpening dies after school. He attended a state vocational trade school during his high-school years studying the machine tool trade and worked in local tool and die shops serving his apprenticeship. He received his journeyman's certificate from the State of Connecticut in tool and die making and tool and model making in 1985. This training has instilled a sense of pride and close attention to detail in all of his work. Shortly there after, he started in CNC programming and used his acquired manual skills in this high tech area. A majority of the work performed was had military applications for customers such as Sikorsky Aircraft, Avco Lycoming, and Norden Systems. In 1990 he moved to California and continued to work in several machine shops in the Bay Area. Ron and Pete were coworkers in a number of different shops btween 1990 and 1998. In 2003 he started working for Pete at Bulldog Machine as the CNC programmer / operator. He now holds the positions of part owner, member of the board, CNC manager, accounts receivable and IT technician Bulldog Machine Inc Scott Streeter's career in metal fabrication started in high school at an ROP ( regional ocupational program ) metal shop class in Redding CA. Those three hours a day afforded him the time to repair all the damages he inflicted on his Jeep CJ-5 the night before. He then moved south and spent a couple of years at Santa Barbara City College taking Welding, Drafting, Math and Art classes. All through high school and college Scott worked as a mechanic in various bicycle shops. After meeting his wife Kim he moved to Santa Rosa to marry her and really start his new career. Scott served his first apprenticeship at Hosakawa/Bepex, a process machinery manufacturer. There they made pressure vessel mixing, blending and cutting machines on a one off basis for companies like DuPont, Proctor and Gamble, Kraft Foods, and many others. Most of these machines were built on a very large scale but with very fine details like highly polished finishes and exotic materials. After fabricating for six years he came to Bulldog Machine as a machinist apprentice. The NTMA apprentice program was a four year process that, like his welding apprenticeship, taught him a wide range of techniques and processes, but most importantly, described why, not just how these techniques are performed. This theoretical view dovetailed great with what Pete was and is teaching him in the shop as real world applications. Scott loves working and being an integral team member Bulldog Machine Inc There are constant challenges and decisions that test each other as individuals and as a team, conquering these are how they improve themselves daily. Scott now holds the positions of part owner, member of the board, manual shop manager, purchasing and estimating Bulldog Machine Inc Now that he has completed his apprenticeship, any extra time he has is split appropriately between his wife, four kids, and motorcycling as much as he possibly can on the road and off!
