Dr. Bruno Flores combines his neurosurgery expertise with compassion in his care for patients and their families. He sees patients in his private practice and is regularly on call at Scripps Memorial-Mercy-Encinitas and Sharp Memorial-Grossmont Hospitals. He is part of a select group of neurosurgeons capable of treating vascular disorders of the brain and spine through both standard and minimally invasive techniques. His practice focuses on brain and spinal vascular disorders. Dr. Flores obtained his medical degree in 2006 from Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. His extensive 7-year Residency program at the University of Texas was completed in 2016, and then completed his Fellowship in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology at the Barrow Neurological institute in 2017. Dr. Flores is the Co-Medical Director of the Scripps Mercy Stroke Program. He is a member of several professional societies, author, sought after presenter, ad hoc reviewer, and recipient of multiple awards.

Dr. Bruno C. Flores is a fellowship trained neurosurgeon specialized in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. His clinical practice focuses on the management of brain and spine vascular disorders, such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs), cavernous malformations, carotid disease, hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes. Dr. Flores was born in Brazil, where he obtained his medical degree form the Federal University of Minas Gerais. After medical school, Dr. Flores completed a Neuro-Oncology research fellowship, followed by neurosurgical training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. After residency, Dr. Flores completed an Endovascular Neurosurgery fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Flores is part of a select group of neurosurgeons capable of treating vascular disorders of the brain and spine through both standard and minimally invasive techniques. Throughout his career, he has authored several book chapters and articles in neurosurgical journals, and he is frequent presenter at national neurosurgical meetings.
