Broadway San Diego, founded in 1912, is one of the largest operators of live theatre in the world. The Nederlander has produced and presented cultural attractions such as the Bolshoi Ballet, The Moiseyev Ballet, The D oyly-Carte Opera, The Georgian State Dance Company, Ballet Folklorico, The Peking Opera and local symphonies. The musical attractions presented by Nederlander have included stars such as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Michael Feinstein and others to pop stars such as Billy Joel, Simon and Garfunkel, The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, Boyz II Men, Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Willie Nelson, Alanis Morissette, Britney Spears, Bette Midler, Barry Manilow, Phil Collins and Tina Turner. The concert facilities operated by the organization include The Greek Theatre, a 6,000-seat amphitheater leased from the City of Los Angeles, the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, Calif., The Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, Calif., and The Target Center in Minneapolis. Broadway San Diego is headquartered in San Diego.
